Andrew's information is intriguing. He is shown as having enrolled at
age 19 on 2/25/64 in Butler, Pa and mustered in 2 days later at
Allegheny County. He stood 5'9", had fair hair, blue eyes, a fair
complexion and listed his occupation as 'farmer'. His home was in
Concord Township, Butler County. The remarks, however, are
unique. "Trans. from Company G. 62nd 7/2/64. Died of Disease at
Hosp. at Baltimore, Md. Burial (unreadable).
(2nd card) died at Philadelphia 7/28/64 Bates. Rolls show name as
Christie, Alfred P." The card itself has Andrew (or Alfred
Patrick) assigned to the 155th Infantry.

was born in Germany and was a 24 year old Brewer when he enrolled and
mustered in as a private at Reading, Pa. He stood 5'8" and had light

April 1, 1864. The remarks on his card also indicated he died at
Satterlee Hospital February 3, 1865, which agrees with the NCA
